Three Ram Shear Grab
This is a very popular model biased on a 5ft 7” McHale.
It is made from brass aluminium and steel weir.
Etching is used to make the shear part of the grab and the brackets for the rams , square brass tubing is used to make the frame at the back of the grab.
Aluminium tubes are used to make the rams which are cut and drilled and attach to the grab
Steel wier is cut to size and then filed down to shape to make the spike’s.
It is all put together by making numerous jigs to support the bars, tubes and rods for soldering.
Once the model is made it is put on a specially made rack for spraying, an etch primer is used followed by the final top coat (your desired colour)
Once the paint is dry the stickers are put on. e.g McHale, Redrock, NC, RossMore, Nugent, etc..
